  • Community Projects:Coach and support fathers in leading at least two (2) community projects per year (e.g., neighborhood watch, community gardens, or “Dads Take Your Child to School Day”) to build social capital.
  • Support Group Facilitation:Co-lead weekly 90-minute support groups (in-person and hybrid) to foster a safe, welcoming environment for “check-ins,” problem-solving, and skill-sharing.
  • Advocacy & Navigation:Act as a liaison for fathers navigating family court, child support (OCSS), and other City systems, helping to mitigate perceived racial or gender biases.
  • Resource Connection:Facilitate referrals to essential services including legal aid, employment assistance, mental health supports, and housing resources.
  • Retention & Follow-up:Maintain regular contact with participants to encourage attendance, send activity reminders, and assist in the distribution of program incentives.

  • Interpersonal Skills:Proven ability to lead groups, communicate with empathy, and build non-judgmental relationships with diverse individuals.
  • Commitment to Equity:Ability to discuss themes of systemic racism and gender bias comfortably with participants.
