Credible messenger mentoring is transformative mentoring intervention for justice-involved young adults, their life experiences make them particularly suited to support, guide and teach people involved in the criminal and juvenile justice systems.  These staffed mentors share their similar experiences with an emphasis on how they overcame it. They are from a similar background, faced the same adversity and are able to equip young people with the tools to change their lives while providing them with a living example of hope and transformation.

The mentorship based approach connects with young people on the journey of healing and inner change by involving them in restorative justice peacekeeping circles.  This style of group-based mentoring provides a remedy for the common burn-out that often happens in social service settings.
